Homemade Apple Crisp

I wanted to make apple crisp today so I went and peeled, cored and sliced the apples and placed them in the baking dish. I didn't have the recipe that I used so I went online to find one but in the end, I had to use the ingredients from two recipes to make this apple crisp. I think it turned out great. My husband liked it, also. One recipe had brown sugar which I didn't have so I substituted white sugar instead. Since this recipe used butter, I went online to find a recipe with no butter. So I used canola oil instead. so, in the end, I took the ingredients and the amount and came up with my own recipe. I hope you like it as much as I do.
The great thing about apple crisp is that you can take out ingredients or add some and come up with your own recipe. It is also healthy for you.

Ingredients

  • 6-9 Apples, Sliced
  • 1/3 cup Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup White sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Peel, core and slice apples. In a bowl, mix together flour, white sugar, and canola oil. Stir until it crumbles.
  2. In a baking dish, place apples evenly. Sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the apples then pour in the water. Take the sugar, flour and oil mixture and pour evenly over the apples.
  3. Bake the apple crisp at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until apples are tender and the top is brown.
